I help organisations solve complex reward challenges by creating structures that are clear, commercially grounded and practical to implement.
Clients often come to me when their reward arrangements have become difficult to explain, inconsistent across the business, or no longer fit for the scale, shape or direction of the organisation. My work focuses on bringing clarity to that complexity, whether that means designing job grading and levelling frameworks, developing pay structures, addressing pay transparency and equal pay or pay gap risks, reshaping bonus and commission arrangements, or harmonising reward linked to organisational change or M&A activity.
I help businesses understand what is really driving inconsistency, risk or confusion in their reward approach, and then translate that into practical frameworks, decisions and actions. Recent projects have included building frameworks that support clearer career paths and organisational scalability; designing market-aligned pay structures to improve attraction, retention and fairness; reviewing incentive schemes so they better align with business strategy, performance and desired behaviours; and carrying out equal pay and pay gap analysis that leads to clear, usable recommendations rather than just technical findings.
My approach combines analytical rigour with a strong sense of what will work in practice. I focus on solutions that stand up to scrutiny, but are also easy for leaders, HR teams and employees to understand and use.
I also support organisations on a fractional Reward Director or Head of Reward basis, providing senior reward leadership, technical expertise and practical delivery support where businesses need experienced input but do not require, or are not yet ready for, a permanent in-house reward lead.
Clients and colleagues describe me as pragmatic, thoughtful and delivery-focused. I have worked with organisations across retail, hospitality, professional services, FMCG, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, utilities, and media, supporting UK and international businesses through reward, organisational design and transformation challenges.
